Sour Girl ~ Lyric Design Pattern ~ Scott Weiland and Don Demeo of Stone Temple Pilots

I read one before that stated this but is 100% backwards !!! It is below and between the lines in its entirety.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A female who displeased after meeting Scott Weiland, or joyful after parting company with him.

She turned away, what was she looking at?
She was a sour girl the day that she met me.

Say, what are you looking at?
She was a happy girl the day that she left me.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The lyric above are correct but the explanation is what is 100% backwards... so read the lyric again...

She turned away, what was she looking at?
She was a sour girl the day that she met me.

Say, what are you looking at?
She was a happy girl the day that she left me.

So, there are 4 lines, 1,2,3, and 4. That being said I will refer to those respective  lines by their #'s.

1- insignificant to overall meaning
2- upon meeting the subject of this song, " she was a sour girl the day that she met me"... so, she already was sour...not because of the meeting itself.

She is healing as they know one another

3- Now another is looking at them, the two of them happy, and wondering inconsequentially wuzzzz up ?
4- The day she left him she was a happy girl, and again, not because she left but because she had healed well and became happy before actually moving on.

So she had obviously been on an up and down sway of life and he helped her to heal over such strife and others questioned their relationship with disapproving looks he justifies in answers within the lyric.

His appearance to her changed through experience, as is so very often the case with human beings... where a beautiful woman or handsome man can quickly become ugly when we see one act that is solely distasteful in moral behavior, as most all of us have experienced.

I think she died and he was blamed and he could feel it the way others NOT in the know of the entire situation viewed what they thought they knew.

He was happy to meet her and she was then a teenage girl.

So here is the pattern I see

LYRIC

She turned away, what was she looking at?
She was a sour girl the day that she met me
Hey, what are you looking at?
She was a happy girl the day that she left me
What would you do?
What would you do if I follow you?
What would you do? I follow
Don't turn away, what are you looking at?
He was so happy on the day that he met her
Say, what are you looking at?
I was a superman, the looks are deceiving
The rollercoaster ride's a lonely one
I pay the ransom note to stop it from steaming
Hey, what are you looking at?
She was a teenage girl when she met me
What would you do?
What would you do if I follow you?
What would you do? I follow
What would you do?....
The girl got reasons
They all got reasons
What would you do?....
Hey, what are you looking at?
She was a happy girl the day that she left me
The day that she left me The day that she left me
She was a happy girl the day that she left me
The day that she left me The day that she left me
She was a happy girl the day that she left me
