The Rap of Life ~ Lyrics ~ MoiusTripz

I have been sittin and thinkin,
contemplating, drinking, aching,
smoking and takin,
healing trying to get back in the fold,
in pain and stinkin.

from where I come from,
we don't smoke crack,
don't die early of heart attacks,
don't know suffering and pain,
another friend gone a rat a tatt tat!!!
...my friends down the drain.

yo man... i say fuck dat,
i walk with erupted spine,
doc says fuck dat,
the spirit is alive,
just love that.

Junior Seau, we be missing you,
thanks for all the things so true,
a life offered up to awaken us,
i wish i could hit rewind back to 1982,
and not instead, be missing you.

and Dean McKnight man I be missing you,
wish I could take the pain that life was dissing you,
I wish it could be again 1982,
with you skiing in vermont,
and not missing you.

Curtis Clark was a friend indeed,
once I whooped his ass discipline in need,
just hoping he would see suffering in others eyes,
there truly is no such need,
and he would stop hurting and hurting others in turn,
another lesson we each learned.
but learned alas perhaps not,
and I am missing you.

And Scott, he speaks to me not this friend of mine,
but he has lived clean and sober,
impossible once upon a time,
now more time has passed we together grew and knew,
and I narked on him, as my friend's life did before me unfold,
glad you've stayed clean man, thinking of and missing you,
better in silence with you alive,
then a Skylark in the river by the woodrow wilson bridge,
life for us each over and through.

Chorus:

I am missing all of you,
memories perfect ring clear,
keeping the best lessons I now share,
keeping you always in thought so near,
missing you.

Robert Rowe my friend in music heart and soul,
always offered up to me his bowl,
I typically passed and guzzled alcohol instead,
now he has found his early death bed,
and I am so missing you.

Chester took his father my friend,
and I forgive him and we speak time and time again,
I testified against he to that ghastly night of sin,
forgiveness in life opens a door to freedom.

I lost two, he and his father and a father a life,
no one should ever know this much strife,
seems common place more and more today, quite rife,
Chester and I say together,
please spare us each our life.

Memory comes from time irreversible,
think before you react,
be patient seeking help, and never rash,
a mistake made in a second always will last.

My first memory a plane crash, Reading, Pa, June 1968,
I was just a baby, six months old,
and life in a big bang did unfold,
Dick Schram I never knew you,
but I instantly missed you.

Then Dhea and Mark and Mark,
planes again taking friends,
and the the Pentagon a mile away from me,
my ex-wife, my ex-father in law, head of a government agency,
they lived that day thank god,
with the fresh so close and in our view,
you made it too and i am missing you.

The gift this life has been for me,
is to wear many shoes looking for destiny,
and learning lessons from all my friends,
carrying messages for those departed,
knowing all roads have their end,
and all the while missing you.

Chorus:

I am missing all of you,
memories perfect ring clear,
keeping the best lessons I now share,
keeping you always in thought so near,
missing you.

I am missing all of you,
memories perfect ring clear,
keeping the best lessons I now share,
keeping you always in thought so near,
missing you.
