Could Have Been Me ~ Lyric ~ MobiusTripz

Seen a man just today,
On the hot asphalt in ninety degree heat,
Sixty something years old,
Broke down tired and beat.

He had in his shopping cart full,
Trash he did not want to leave behind,
And flies all around his rotten food,
Upon which still he dined.,

Could have been me,
In everyone i see,
Could have been me,
I see the trilogy.

Could have been me,
I see the trilogy,
All of us the spirit,
One and one and one all three

I brought water and fresh sustenance,
And words to share with he,
He spoke of god and many things,
Worried but more mumbling about me.

I reached out for his hand to shake,
And he placed his head down low,
Told me please do not catch it,
And shook back so humbled and slow.

Could have been me,
In everyone i see,
Could have been me,
I see the trilogy.

Could have been me,
I see the trilogy,
All of us the spirit,
One and one and one all three

He muttered bout' the church folks,
Who told him all about saving his soul,
Who seem to now have forgotten him,
Actions weak runneth over offer no life flow.

We spoke of tough times and love,
And about humility from where each we sat,
And understood one another well,
No matter I'm white or he black.

Could have been me,
In everyone i see,
Could have been me,
I see the trilogy.

Could have been me,
I see the trilogy,
All of us the spirit,
One and one and one all three

He spoke of fantasy and real escape,
And spoke of finer younger years,
When good times where all around surrounding,
Without such today's common fears.

I bid him adieu and told him I loved him,
This stranger that I had met,
Realizing this could have easily been me,
A perfect future never a definite bet.

Could have been me,
In everyone i see,
Could have been me,
I see the trilogy.

Could have been me,
I see the trilogy,
All of us the spirit,
One and one and one all three
