RUSSIAN COMET IMPACT , RUSSIAN ASTEROID IMPACT, RUSSIAN METEORITE IMPACT

RUSSIAN COMET IMPACT, RUSSIAN ASTEROID IMPACT, RUSSIAN METEORITE IMPACT

Below I have listed a plethora of links with incredible resources so that anyone may do their due diligence concerning asteroid 2012 DA14 and it's imminent passage of Earth...if you want to skip ahead, this is the finest link; N.A.S.A.

This 2012 DA14 is already a record setting event...

"Here are the facts about the safe flyby of Earth of asteroid 2012 DA14 -- a record close approach for a known object of this size. "

 http://www.nasa.gov/topics/solarsystem/features/asteroidflyby.html

However I have a quick quote from a qualified friend I quoted below that may be of interest although it is brief, I do find it of great interest.

Meteorite hits Russian Urals: Fireball explosion wreaks havoc, over 500 injured

"Army units found three meteorite debris impact sites, two of which are in an area near Chebarkul Lake, west of Chelyabinsk. The third site was found some 80 kilometers further to the northwest, near the town of Zlatoust. One of the fragments that struck near Chebarkul left a crater six meters in diameter."

Here is a question I posed to a longtime acquaintance and friend of mine closely tied to N..A.S.A, and other programs in his profession

..so I will quote ver batim my poor grammatical question...

Question: 03-04-2012

Can I ask you some questions sometime about the asteroid (this was one of many only spotted days before it was expected to pass by in a near earth orbit)...

I have a few prominent friends that are lost...lol...I do not think they
truly understand the physics at work concerning gravitational pull of the
Earth upon an incoming projectile or the possibility of the elliptical
orbits that these things can (not meaning that is the case) take as an
orbit and the speed they are traveling at as well as that they seemingly
appear from nowhere...which is not truly the case...just that we have a
limited field of vision thus far which is greatly increasing.

I hope you have been well...I really would like to talk sometime if you have
some free time in your busy schedule...

This is a quote from a friend of mine concerning an asteroid that was due to pass by Earth near the time he answered me, in an email in which he responded to me, where I inquired about orbits of asteroids...and this man is a very reputable physicist that works very closely with N.A.S.A., as he is a friend and I am reporting, I will choose not to offer his name, until I have permission from him.

Response: 03-12-2012

"You are correct on the asteroids, nowadays we have some warning.
The good part is that the bigger they are, the more warning we have.
NASA and the USAF track them all pretty well.  If they are pointed
right at the center of the Earth they will penetrate the atmosphere
and either burn up or make an impact.  Considering the unlikeliness
that they are pointed directly at the center of the Earth, don't
expect that.  They can be "close" but miss, i.e. their path will be
bent by our gravity and keep going.  If they are not too fast or
massive they might actually be captured by our gravity and take an
elliptical orbit around Earth, but that is very low probability as
well."

This is a link to what happened to me and what prompted me doing some research and asking him about asteroids / comets.

NASA AND ASTEROIDS / ASTEROID 2012 DA14

...excerpt from link that follows:

"The NASA Near Earth Object Observation (NEOO) Program detects and tracks asteroids and comets passing close to Earth using ground- and space-based telescopes. The network of projects supported by this program, commonly called "Spaceguard," discovers these objects, characterizes a subset of them and plots their orbits to determine if any could be potentially hazardous to our planet."

http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/asteroids/news/asteroid20130214.html

"The Near-Earth Object Program Office at JPL manages the technical and scientific activities for NASA's Near-Earth Object Observation Program of the Science Mission Directorate in Washington. JPL is a division of the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena. The NEOO Program Office performs more precise orbit determination on the objects, and predicts whether any will become an impact hazard to the Earth, or any other planet in the solar system."
