PLEASE HELP ~ PHILIPPINE SUPERTYPHOON HAIYAN ~ RED CROSS DONATION

JULIA MACINNIS' FUNDRAISER:

PLEASE HELP VICTIMS OF PHILIPPINE SUPERTYPHOON HAIYAN

THE TEAM: $11,467 TOTAL RAISED SO FAR

As of print, this is the total (above) thus far pledged to assist in the aftermath of the worst typhoon known in

recorded history.

This is just the amount my one friend has organized to help her family and relatives directly effected by this tragic

disaster.

This aspect as written below is a very important part of this charity drive.

Cash is important because it allows for the direct and exact resources to be funneled where they are needed

without having to expensively ship supplies that would then take even longer to arrive.

There is also a 3% charge off the top through the service "crowdrise" which is where Julia's request was set up.

Other then that the rest of all of your collective donations go directly to the Red Cross !

Will you please donate too and help make her request one of the largest donations to reach her relatives and

loved ones?

By all means please copy this blog link, and copy the crowdrise link and post it on your facebook, Google+,

twitter, etc., or copy my entire blog entry and blog it on your own blog, as you have my permission by all and any

means to help this request spread even farther and offer more help.

Please read Julia's personal testimony after this updated information from The red Cross' web page.

MAKE YOUR DONATION HERE PLEASE:

November 12, 2013
Typhoon Haiyan swept across the central Philippines on Friday leaving a trail of massive destruction in its wake. With sustained winds reported at over 145 miles per hour, and significantly stronger gusts, Haiyan was the second category 5 typhoon to strike the Philippines this year. The typhoon affected 4.3 million people across 36 provinces.
Philippine Red Cross volunteers throughout the region are reporting significant damage and a growing death toll, while the full extent of the devastation continues to unfold. While relief efforts are underway, blocked roads, destroyed infrastructure and downed communication lines are making the response particularly challenging.
The Philippine Red Cross is leading the response effort and their volunteers have been caring for people even before Typhoon Haiyan made landfall—working closely to support pre-emptive evacuations of more than 125,000 families. The Philippine Red Cross is the largest humanitarian organization in the country, with 1,000 staff and an estimated 500,000 active volunteers engaged in response to this emergency. Red Cross has begun distributions of relief supplies, but delivery in the worst affected city of Tacloban has been significantly constrained by damage to local infrastructure.
The American Red Cross has deployed four people to the Philippines. These include two people who specialize in telecommunication and who are traveling with satellite equipment, and two others who specialize in disaster assessment. The Red Cross network has deployed teams in logistics, disaster assessment, shelter, health, water and sanitation.
In addition to supplying people, expertise, and equipment, the American Red Cross is helping reconnect families separated by Typhoon Haiyan. People searching for a missing family member in the Philippines should remember that many phones lines are down. If still unable to reach loved ones, people contact their local chapter of the American Red Cross to initiate a family tracing case. "
I have known Julia the better part of my life, well over 30 years now, and I know how much it means to her if you are able to help. She has passed her original goal several times over, and it is because people have reached deep into their hearts to pledge these funds and share this fundraiser across the world.
I am again asking you to read her statement below, and offer any thing you can. If it is only $ 1, and you think $ 1 will not help, well think of the 999,999 others that may think that way.
The truth is that just a small amount by many does indeed go a long long way to saving starving people's lives and this is proof positive of the power of a directed collective effort working.
I hope today as you read this and get ready to share this powerful information you to will help make a difference in perhaps one of the simplest ways that is also the most powerful and effective at the same time.
Thanks,
Steve

Here is Julia's testimony for her request that you PLEASE make a donation.

This is my mom's homeland. I have a special affinity for the Filipinos and much of this country is so poor this is the last thing they needed; the area hit had no chance. At the 36 hour mark they are saying 10,000 have been killed and many more expected. I cannot fathom. Please consider donating to the RED CROSS to help those who have survived and have lost everything. The RED CROSS is even saying they are running out of body bags!
After the Japan Tsunami I did a crowdrise event that helped raise over $4000 (updated now) for the Red Cross.  I'd love to help raise even a PORTION of that for my mom's homeland.  Like last time, I'd like to do the same thing by offering an incentive!
Here's the incentive:  For every $25 you donate, your name will be entered in a RAFFLE to win a free photo session (this spring or summer) with me along with 25 fully edited images on CD.  This is something I usually sell for well over $1000.  It's worth it!  Please forward this to your friends so they can be entered into the raffle as well!
I will award the winner on November 30th and notify you then.  But you MUST email or message me if you don't submit your email publicly here.

Thanks,
Julia MacInnis

DONATION LINK:
Otherwise, I :
1) can't thank you or
2) throw your name into the raffle!!!
Thank you for making this possible and for helping these poor people!
Let's bring it on!!!

Annandale Atoms Band Dis-Respectfully SHUT OUT at High School Football Game Halftime Show

MUSICIANS, PARENTS, STUDENTS, ATHLETES... STAND UP AND TAKE NOTE !!!

HELP MAKE THIS GO VIRAL SO THIS BAND WILL GET THE RESPECT THAT THEY DESERVE AS WELL AS ONE LAST CONCERT THE WAY IT SHOULD BE !!!

http://www.thea-blast.org/top-stories/2013/11/13/band-kicked-field/

READ THAT ARTICLE FIRST PLEASE, AND THEN READ THE REST OF THIS.

That article says all the details and I will not take credit for the excellent reporting at that link nor try to paint the picture any other way in my own words, other then what follows.

The specifics in the article are really appalling to me, and i hope this gets the attention it deserves, changes are made accordingly, coaches or anyone else involved held accountable, and most importantly, the band gets a great final senior concert as they so deserve.

My sister brought this to my attention, so I will in turn say what I feel I should, as I have in-laws that went to this fine high school, and we are all a part of the Fairfax County family of schools and should make an example of this to offer prevention of any repeat at any school nationwide!

I am saddened to see your band (Annandale Atoms) has been treated so poorly. They deserved the utmost respect and were denied that by the other teams coach, as referenced in this article at this link below.

I am a Fairfax County School graduate from 1986 and I participated in Orchestra and Football and Wrestling and other sports.

I did not attend Annandale, however my sister in law and her brother did, and I know of no one in my family or friends that would tolerate this insane behavior.

One of my best friends in youth became the marching bands drum major.

I would have been disgusted to see him treated like this, and it is for all of those reasons I am sorry for your band's and fan's and team's treatment on such a special night for all involved.

I hope the County School Board addresses this county wide, perhaps suggesting a state wide letter too as a way to increase awareness of this unacceptable behavior and prevent another such incident..., and maybe this will spread through social media nationwide, and at any hand, become an example of what not to do, and I think your award winning band should get to play a huge concert, perhaps in Washington D.C., to celebrate what music is about, uplifting the spirit of the individual and the collective, and certainly not just dis-respected entertainment to turn off like a switch to a radio, by an uncouth coach setting a terrible example for all in attendance, and perhaps now an entire country!

This link looks to go viral today, and there is a very good chance WUSA 9 is working on the story as I saw this on their website through a post a family member had made.

We, two sisters and a brother as well as myself in my own family, grew up and all graduated from Fairfax County schools. We still admire those days and stand for something better as we were taught and always speak up when we see mis-givings as such. I am still a musician and still an admirer of sports, and I, for one, only hope this is properly addressed and covered so perhaps the band will get their due respect as earned and proven in competition, as well as music also getting a lift in education as an instrumental program (pun intended) to further enrichment and higher thinking, as it is scientifically proven to nurture the mind into a sharper tool... one the coach that had the tantrum must not maintain, and it is my guess he was never in a respectable musical program.

I hope for healing and better treatment in the future, and I as a musician and sports lover myself will say I know more folks have respect and will not tolerate this kind of behavior acted upon our loving talented hard working youth, and offer my own blessings towards healing I hope the entire band gets to share soon.

They deserve another concert, and I hope it will be huge and soon!

Share this and make this go viral!

Help them to get the concert they so deserve, perhaps even at the White House!

Again, this was to be their last home performance as a marching band for the entire year, and think about that for the hard working tenured seniors most especially, on designated " Senior Night ".

Will they be given the opportunity to perform one last show properly with honor and respect?

Will you support one last show ?

Please sign this petition if you would like to see them offered a great chance at a show somewhere, maybe in Washington D.C., perhaps at the Kennedy Center or the White House, but preferably somewhere great where they can march !!!

A performance in a grand place to honor these award winning musicians is what they deserve to help erase away one very disrespectful evening on what was suppose to be a very special night, "Senior Night".

PLEASE SIGN THIS AND THEN RE-POST AND SHARE THE PETITION.

THANKS

Polar Shifts ~ Poetry / Lyrics ~ Mobiustripz

After Summer,
before Winter to come,
a transition season,
a shift between poles.

equilibrium coming,
sometimes fast,
axis angle awobble,
other times slow.

We fall into Winter,
and slumber off to Spring,
death apart of life,
to thee I sing.

We Spring into Summer,
and drift before the Fall,
plan for the soon coming,
of life's extremest calls.

Seasons spinning 'round.
the voyage we truly know,
plan and see it coming,
more easy changing flow.

Flowers and Leaves ~ Lyric / Poetry ~ MobiusTripz

flowers and leaves,
celestial angel kisses,
color blasted biology,
herbal healing never misses.

flowers and leaves,
stem and seeds,
silly laughs,
healing for free

flowers and leaves,
dudes named steve,
musical interlude weaves,
make it all free

flowers and leaves,
moments of clarity,
offer work to do now,
a bad connotation is weed.

bring thoughts of flowers and leaves
never call that shit weed!
it'z flowers and leaves,
flowers and leaves.

Rocking Chair Physicist ~ Lyric / Poetry ~ MobiusTripz

Never went to Harvard or M.I.T,
I have been sitting home ah thinkin',
and watching historical documentaries,
and other streaming videos for free.

Ah readin' and ah studyin' on the net,
exploring nature and books in free time,
applying such learned knowledge,
well pictured puzzle life all in my mind.

I am getting older and more understanding,
while observant and wiser I must be,
I'm a rokkin' chair physicist,
college education for all now free.

I may not know names of parts,
or the mathematics some explain,
but I understand the principles,
and the final results all still the same.

I have speculated with the best,
of the things comin' soon to pass,
tellin' folks we are running out of time,
those few who listen only laugh.

I am getting older and more understanding,
while observant and wiser I must be,
I'm a rokkin' chair physicist,
college education for all now free.

The people are finally awakening,
but the event horizon has surely passed,
not learned and understanding,
most will scurry just like rats.

I am getting older and more understanding,
while observant and wiser I must be,
I'm a rokkin' chair physicist,
higher education for all now free.

Sometimes we need relaxing pleasures,
dried flowers blended leaves,
a higher education physical pain now waning,
On my rokkin' chair I'll be.

On my rokkin' chair I'll be,
come and chit chat along with me,
for a chuckle or a cry sit by my side please,
rocking chair physicists together dreaming free.

I am getting older and more understanding,
while observant and wiser I must be,
I'm a rokkin' chair physicist,
higher education for all now free.

Looking In ~ Poetry / Lyric ~ MobiusTripz

I'm a fly on the wall looking in,
from above such contempt and sin,
yet smashed and killed once again,
I was just a fly on a wall looking in.

I take all your shit that I can,
Before wings from away you all I ran,
still shit dished out I can't stand,
now winged insect angel life stolen by man.

I'm a fly on the wall looking in,
from above such contempt and sin,
yet smashed and killed once again,
I was just a fly on a wall looking in.

Etymology with no passion or respect,
Entomology life by your hand now dissect,
Ecology lost in a hindsight now retrospect,
in darkness, not evolution, sin reflects.

...always easing out the light...

I'm a fly on the wall looking in,
from above such contempt and sin,
yet smashed and killed once again,
I was just a fly on a wall looking in.

I'm a fly on the wall looking in,
from above such contempt and sin,
yet smashed and killed once again,
I was just a fly on a wall looking in.

Prisms Through Time ~ Lyric / Poetry ~ MobiusTripz

Looking through a prismed hall of time,
pure white light beams blur the past,
color fragments of life paint the future bright,
light speed beams traveling quick already cast.

To what effect and affect do'eth we each have,
somewhere in this universe interacting we all reside,
Detached and watching from here I feel often as if,
we are each a mere part of the all seeing eye.

Chorus:

How will you make that light twist and shine,
fuel for the soul, all souls so pure and divine,
all a light beam vehicle across infinite space-time,
its your life how will you like to upon it dine?

Singularity and then relativity at it most violent expulsion,
The chemicals arranged before conscience ever known,
carbon, light, other elements too all arrangements in space-time,
and here we are contemplating it all on a planet we do not treat like home.

Waves of time always travel forward on and on,
vision travels faster then light relative to what we sow,
and you think by history's example we would better decisions make,
but that is not how we act as much as we seemingly know.

Chorus:

How will you make that light twist and shine,
fuel for the soul and all souls so pure and divine,
all a light beam vehicle across infinite space-time,
its your life how will you like to upon it dine?

The past composed of matter still marching on exists,
a metamorphosis always dancing in space-time now still twists,
another boat built by Noah in concept ready to take drift,
choices decide evolution of life or be it fossilized in shists.

Bonds and chemicals does everything else build upon,
interacting together the future is never really too long gone,
always choose whats right and leave behind the learned wrong,
make a life and future sweeter then any Shakespearian sung song.

Chorus:

How will you make that light twist and shine,
fuel for the soul and all souls so pure and divine,
all a light beam vehicle across infinite space-time,
its your life how will you like to upon it dine?
