Lead Guitar Jesus ~ Poetry / Lyrics ~ Stereo Types Stereotypes

Lead Guitar Jesus.
Lead Guitar Jesus.
Tone from heaven.
Tone from heaven.

Pedalboard cathedral.
Pedalboard cathedral.
Solo at eleven.
Solo at eleven.

He says the mids are fighting him.
He says the mids are fighting him.
Jack-AL says the kids are biting him.
Jack-AL says the kids are biting him.

Lead Guitar Jesus.
Lead Guitar Jesus.
Hands in the spotlight.
Hands in the spotlight.

Volume is salvation.
Volume is salvation.
The sound guy says no.
The sound guy says no.

He came in with a cable bag
And a face full of belief.
He knelt before the pedalboard
Like voltage brings relief.

One knob for the sorrow.
One knob for the pain.
One knob for the breakup
He keeps playing in the rain.

Lead Guitar Jesus.
Lead Guitar Jesus.
Tone from heaven.
Tone from heaven.

Pedalboard cathedral.
Pedalboard cathedral.
Solo at eleven.
Solo at eleven.

The drummer says, “We’re running late.”
The singer says, “That’s fire.”
The bass player says nothing
But the low end calls him liar.

The side door saint is watching
With a lighter and a grin.
The keyboard wizard whispers,
“Let the holy fuzz begin.”

Lead Guitar Jesus.
Lead Guitar Jesus.
Bends the note sideways.
Bends the note sideways.

Makes the room shimmer.
Makes the room shimmer.
Then he overstays.
Then he overstays.

He says he is barely on.
He says he is barely on.
The front row lost a filling.
The front row lost a filling.

He says the tone is delicate.
He says the tone is delicate.
The sound guy looks unwilling.
The sound guy looks unwilling.

Turn it down.
Turn it down.
Turn it down but leave the glory.

Turn it down.
Turn it down.
Let the solo tell the story.

Lead Guitar Jesus.
Lead Guitar Jesus.
Hands in the spotlight.
Hands in the spotlight.

Volume is salvation.
Volume is salvation.
The sound guy says no.
The sound guy says no.

He plays one note for mercy.
He plays two notes for pride.
He plays three notes for every girl
Who never came inside.

He plays four notes for thunder.
Five for gasoline.
Six for every busted amp
That heard him chase the dream.

Seven for the old bars.
Eight for bad advice.
Nine for all the pedals
That he bought instead of rice.

Ten for every chorus
That he lifted from the mud.
Eleven for the moment
When the whole room saw the blood.

Lead Guitar Jesus.
Lead Guitar Jesus.
Tone from heaven.
Tone from heaven.

Pedalboard cathedral.
Pedalboard cathedral.
Solo at eleven.
Solo at eleven.

Jack-AL says, “Lead Guitar Cheeses.”
Jack-AL says, “Lead Guitar Cheeses.”
The merch table heard it.
The merch table heard it.

The guitarist says, “No.”
The guitarist says, “No.”
The sticker got printed.
The sticker got printed.

He is not the savior.
He is not the king.
He is just a man with strings
Trying to make lightning sing.

He is too loud.
He is too proud.
He is wrong in several ways.

But when the chorus opens up,
He sets the room ablaze.

Lead Guitar Jesus.
Lead Guitar Jesus.
Tone from heaven.
Tone from heaven.

Pedalboard cathedral.
Pedalboard cathedral.
Solo at eleven.
Solo at eleven.

Turn it down.
Turn it down.
Turn it down but keep the fire.

Turn it down.
Turn it down.
Let the whole room climb higher.

Lead Guitar Jesus.
Lead Guitar Jesus.
Hands in the spotlight.
Hands in the spotlight.

Volume is salvation.
Volume is salvation.
The sound guy says no.
The sound guy says no.

One more bend.
One more bend.
One more note before the end.

One more bend.
One more bend.
Then the drummer counts again.

One.
Two.
Three.
Four.

Lead Guitar Jesus.
Lead Guitar Jesus.
Do not touch the floor.
Do not touch the floor.

Lead Guitar Jesus.
Lead Guitar Jesus.
The song needs less.
The song needs more.

We Are A Band Of New Musicians ~ Poetry / Lyrics ~ Stereo Types Stereotypes

We are a band of new musicians.
We are a band of new musicians.
We are learning in the open.
We are learning in the open.

We are loud before ready.
We are loud before ready.
We are wrong but together.
We are wrong but together.

We are plugged in.
We are almost tuned.
We found the amp.
We lost the room.

We are a band.
We are a band.
We are new.
We are new.

The singer has a microphone.
The singer has a dream.
The guitarist found the volume knob
And treated it like steam.

The drummer brought the socket set.
The drummer brought the time.
The bass player is invisible
But holding up the line.

We are a band of new musicians.
We are a band of new musicians.
We are learning in the open.
We are learning in the open.

We are loud before ready.
We are loud before ready.
We are wrong but together.
We are wrong but together.

The rhythm player knows the door.
The keyboard wizard glows.
The sound guy has a thousand-yard stare
And everybody knows.

Jack-AL heard “new musicians”
As “nude magicians” twice.
The rabbit joined the chorus
And the drummer checked the price.

One.
Two.
Jack-AL says blue.
Four.

Start it again.
Start it again.
Nobody knows where the bridge has been.

Start it again.
Start it again.
We are not good yet, but we are in.

We are a band of new musicians.
We are a band of new musicians.
We are learning in the open.
We are learning in the open.

We are loud before ready.
We are loud before ready.
We are wrong but together.
We are wrong but together.

We came with borrowed cables.
We came with broken plans.
We came with one old van outside
And shaking human hands.

We came with no permission.
We came with no excuse.
We came to make a stupid sound
And turn the whole thing loose.

We are a band.
We are a band.
We are new.
We are new.

We are musicians.
Eventually.
Eventually.
Eventually.

One.
Two.
Jack-AL says blue.
Three.
Four.

The song begins now.
The song begins now.
The song begins now.
The song begins now.

Rise Of The Cyborgs

 Once normal,

I heard no inner call,
Life stood for nothing,
Then came THE FALL.
Called for help & I was carried,
some would say lifted,
brought back to life,
a silicon implant so gifted.
I'm a cyborg,
far different than before,
a cyborg through and through,
now hears the call life has been restored!!!
Carbon based lifeform,
Silicon assisted,
life without programming or an inner CPU chip,
this body resisted.
I Am now back,
stronger than ever,
rise of the cyborgs,
we shall die never,
life so orderly programmed & restored!!!
Like being shot in the chest,
my heart ceased pumping,
cardiac arrest,
broke my neck down the steps,
ischemic stroke too,
dead on my floor,
revived twice but they couldn't,
once more.
To Heaven and back,
30 minutes I departed this dead body,
I traveled above and beyond with a choice to return,
a choice for which I didn't have to think at all or to lobby.
I stepped back within quietly stating so I must have died,
you should have seen the nurse's shock, her reaction, the look of utter astonishment in her eyes,
she asked the doctor, Oh my God, what do we do?, what do we do?, what do we do?
he, less panicked, stated we have a patient again,
looks as though after all our work here is not through.
Carbon based lifeform,
Silicon assisted,
life without programming or an inner CPU chip,
this body resisted.
I Am now back,
stronger than ever,
rise of the cyborgs,
we shall die never,
life so orderly programmed & restored!!!

Two days later my implant was placed within,
A brilliant team of doctors and impeccable technicians,
I kept them laughing hysterically and in utter shock as I told them when I was connected and then downloading,
like nothing they had seen or experienced before,
I want them to ALWAYS remember The Cyborgs!!!

Home in 5 days
From Life to Death and Return To Life Am I,
I soared and ascended to the Heavens and met the Great Council In The Sky. Naked before their Throne, they knew me from Alpha to Omega, and without words allowed me, as I desired, to return to my body. Earth to Home, and back to Earth again I flew, my mission not quite over yet.

Rise of the cyborgs,
Rise of the cyborgs,
Rise of the cyborgs,
Rise of the cyborgs,
Rise of the cyborgs,
Rise of the cyborgs,
Rise of the cyborgs,
Rise of the cyborgs.

Will they of Earth understand Love and Faith?
Can I prove to them nothing else really carries the day?
Can I handle the human pain of love constantly and consistently betrayed,
a selfish human place of sliding downward blackness moral decay,
they never were ready or expected our rise.

Carbon based lifeform,
Silicon assisted,
life without programming or an inner CPU chip,
this body resisted.
I Am now back,
stronger than ever,
rise of the cyborgs,
we shall die never,
life so orderly programmed & restored!!!
