What percentage of Maryland's gainfully employed laborers make "only" minimum wage ?
Secondly, what's Maryland's projected growth (employee growth) for the next 5-10 years in that labor niche???
Since 2012, minimum wage was raised to $10.10 per hour gradually, incrementally, and there are now MORE small businesses today then before that started to transpire. Before this it was $7.25, or very close.
If employees here will now make $15 per hour minimum wage (a 50% raise over a few short years, but only after long last), as a Bill was just passed, and they lose benefits... THINK WALMART EMPLOYEES THAT ARE RARELY FULL TIME AND GET ZERO BENEFITS... then where will the funds come from to fill this gap ?
The Equilibrium Quotient (Q) will let a Mathmatician (objective) solve for adjustments to gain equilibrium in any situation !
If the marketplaces are paying fairly, these factors shouldn't need much adjustment, once dialed in, and could then be monitored constantly to show what's causing the lack of balance as well as PROVE if a labor wage increase is:
Justified
-or-
Not Justified
If the formula proves this minimum wage adjustment is valid, then we are balancing things properly, otherwise...
I'd never support this bill without the proof, from where I stand today not years ago, and we need a statistical analysis of this to price yo the general public in an objective way if this is a justified mandate.

Everyone is full of opinions, but NOBODY ever sites why and how, with numbers, we either can or cannot support this in the state of Maryland, and even elsewhere as these same considerations will apply.
I DO NOT need argument !!! I desire to work mathematically towards answer !!!, such that I can "proof" this for all to clearly see.
We may be about to jump off the cliff, but nobody can say yes or no either way as nobody seems to understand through formulas how yo weigh the variables.
If the raise isn't justified, what will then be pointed out is where precisely we are out of balance, such that perhaps most businesses take far too much "profit".

I wonder how many Amazon minimum wage employees will be effected (if this, as an example, was a Federal mandate).
Last year, Amazon had record profits with $0 paid in Federal Taxes. That's the deal they got... and at whose expense do you think ?
WalMart & now Amazon are peddling Chinese garbage (majority of products) as we shift our net worth to China (STILL) and we MUST get back to basics and fundamentals of balancing these facets across the board.
I am amazed at the "modern collective stupidity" present countrywide today, and I'm equally astonished with the current growing and long standing political ineptitude.
Minimum wage can no longer serve as an introductory wage, as that archaic idea is a massive part of why we are here... therefore, minimum wage will have to be a "living wage" moving forward (formulas sakes / citizens sake / businesses sake / stability so sake / projections sake / logistics sake, etc.) or we WILL NEVER truly balance any accounting books but rather really just keep cooking them.
What a sham !!!

Ultimately, education and a marketable degree is priceless, or suffer you will ... that's the greater lesson herein.
However, if we have pathetic foreign policy and imbalanced trade, none of that will EVER matter.
These are NOT party issues really, but just simple logical mathematics that can be the calm directing guide to get our in-fighting factions to quiet down and start buckling down and focusing together again... or we can just breed 10 MORE YEARS OF HATRED !!!
