Urban & Rural Decay, Insurance Must Practice A More Fair Way, Stop Discriminating ~ Forward Future Thinkers

Maryland really needs a state law that mandates that insurance companies must & shall:
Provide minimum property insurance on hubs with mortgages such that the principal balance of the mortgage at a bare minimum shall be covered.
-------
You can own a $20,000 house not worth a penny more and have to pay insurance on it like you own a $300,000 home because they will base it on the rebuild price even if you just owed $15,000 as an example or nothing.
The problem here is that people in the lower socioeconomic echelon have a hard enough time paying the bills and areas are in more and more bad disrepair because homes get taken because they can't keep Insurance on them and therefore the mortgages are Boyd and then the cities or municipalities or counties are encumbered with taking these properties back and this is an even larger liability to the tax base and if we had a simple solution here on what my targeted facet is, this could truly prevent a lot of Urban decay and a lot of rural decay and give folks that are struggling a better chance as well as keep them in the proper legal requirements of their mortgage which is better for business and better for everybody.
I have been fighting for my life. I have been fighting to organize my finances. I have been harassed by people that I owe money, understandably so, to the legal degree. I fight myself to get organized with all the energy I have left so that I can stick on a trajectory that I know I can handle and make progress and get everything paid off so that I will no longer be a burden to anybody, but my health always throws a curveball at me and steals anything I've ever earned. It might look like I have a lot but I have nothing of value. property that is owned is really just a hole that money goes into it that you will never see again.
It's fine if it's to maintain it and it pays off in the way such that you get used out of it but there are other types of situations where people don't even get that but they still have an obligation legally and so those types of properties end up abandoned and in disrepair.those are homes that some people don't care about for the most part anyway and are often on the abatement lists and should be or need to be torn down so it's not like anybody who wants to recover the property anyway. The banks don't want them in the insurance companies don't want them, therefore nobody offers policies to cover these bottom rung properties.
Folks that are trying to get their lives organized and buy a home usually don't have good credit.
I thought there was a law somewhere that stated something about not being able to discriminate against others.
They're definitely laws that change lending standards or amounts that must be paid due to your credit score, and insurance is one of those companies that takes advantage of this and charges the poorest the in exorbitant largest percentages compared to those with the most money that can easily afford insurance the least amount in percentage to equal or equivalent policies... meaning in more lay terms... and please forgive me and please do add anything to this and educate me and paint a clearer picture for all of us if you have any good information to share or ad, I beg you.
We got to exact same families a husband and wife and two kids and they each by identical homes. Couple one has perfect credit, couple to has perfectly ruined credit, couple two will pay more in insurance for the house and it will be obvious that they have struggled more and will continue to struggle more and be the ones that are actually least likely to meet their obligations under the circumstances missed especially and now the cards are being stacked against them even more so.
I don't want the perfect couple that has worked hard and been responsible to be penalized because we all know that that's totally not fair.
we also know it's not fair if the poor couple is paying let's say $100 a month for that homeowner's insurance and the couple that has been doing well as paying 20.
Now if we took the same cookie-cutter house that was identical and we put it in a different locale it would be a worth a different amount of money and there would be a different amount of median income in that area, as well as most other variables being different and not comparative, etc.
However here is where the rub is with the amount being based on rebuild value, I can be paying more money in the area where I live let's say Cumberland Maryland then another man that might be in Hagerstown for example.
I could be made more Insurance per month and a house worth 20,000 then a man that owns a house worth $350,000, for example. I'm quite mature am not mistaken and I'm saying if I am like couple number one that's had a difficult time.
Keep in mind these hypotheticals are just throwing out there and they are round numbers but I do actually know of a case where the numbers are close enough. I know that there's a problem here and I know that no good insurance broker has ever been able to answer me reasonably and with logic and the rationale like one would expect from a college professor him is teaching and a student would inquire of... or much like a constituent might ask if they feel like they're not being properly or fairly represented.
I don't have time to write all the things that I would like to ask because believe me, I can scrutinize, but this is one of those things that's been on the list and tonight was the night that I needed to say something.
This will be in my blog too !!!
here's the bottom line I'm not going to read all of your answers and I don't want to hear the snobbery or the terrible remarks or even the people that are kissing my ass and agree with me a hundred percent LOL I love you all
Here's the real rub !!!
there is a broken system and I have painted enough of a picture here that you can understand where the problem is and what remedy it needs.
...but there's no way we would want to facilitate that it is easier for families to lose their homes across the United States of America, but indeed I promise you we have.
This is another solution that is not Democratic or republican but fair and proper for the American people and for the American dream to be able to prosper, both.
The housing market needs great scrutiny and so do lending rules and regulations and guidelines, but that is something that the president will be working on soon, I assure you.
The great accounting cometh, I cometh', I promise, rather one likes it or not.
It is best, therefore, to be prepared.
I am trying my best to get my house in order and it's taking all the energy I have and then some and I am still far behind because I have suffered for a long time but I have so much fight left in me and I'm going to get my finances straight and I am going to have my dignity when I depart because a man should have at least that.
I'm tired of the stress and I'm tired of feeling disgusted with myself and I'm trying to juggle 30 million batons at once in the air and I can't...
I have lawyers that want money and doctors that want money and insurance companies that want money... Otherwise, I think everything would have been under perfect control but isn't it always those three above???
Doctors, lawyers, and insurance ???
That's not a repeating trio coincidentally???
I grew up in Washington DC, the capital to lawyers. Who are also politicians now that work closely with insurance companies and doctors.
I have been cared for by the greatest of doctors and I have had incredible medical coverage here in the state of Maryland but it has been through years of terror and hard work that we have gotten this far and I promise you that 10 years ago, I would not have survived after being published at the United States Department of energy in 2010, to be writing this for you to read again anything that would come from me after the health debacle events that I went through in August of 2018.
This debacle consisted of all of these events on August 12th, 2018.
Stroke, heart attack, lactic acidosis, asthma, viral sepsis, and I fell down the steps and likely broke my neck and still have two dislocated vertebrae. The last thing I remember before Awakening to CPR for a few combative moments and then apologizing and drifting back out was first falling down the steps with my heart attack before help came. I had called nine-one-one. Somehow after going all the way down the steps when my heart gave out, I was able to stand up and I screamed as I use my right hand to force my left hand that would barely work to reach over and see if my bones were sticking out from between my shoulder blades and my back. And my head, it was cocked to the right and I couldn't straighten it up and I thought for sure they would be been sticking out and blood but I didn't see any of that so I quickly sat down knowing my heart wasn't beating and that I only had maybe one shot... One opportunity... Okay, this is no time for humor I already know what you're thinking ;)
but it is a time for humor because what happened next is the complete opposite, I slammed my neck backward as hard as I thought I could try to knock the bones straight so I could straighten my neck out. It did not work the first time and somehow I'm thinking to myself here I am awake again still somehow really never knocked out yet and I ran as hard as I could again backward while I screamed after taking a big breath. It didn't work the second time and I got a third opportunity.
I received CPR I had to be defibrillated three days later I had a pacemaker and defibrillator implanted and I went home in 5 days where I have been since.
I couldn't drive for 6 months but I do. I've taken care of myself the whole time with help from friends but I've lived alone and taken care of myself. if I had to do everything by myself I could and I can and I'm thankful, so very thankful for that.
I can't tell you how thankful I am for the miracles the medical professionals and the first responders and anybody involved all pulled off together because they are multiple miracles.
I suffer to drop dead heart attack from takotsubo syndrome. Dropped its heart attacks are most made famous by athletes that are playing actively and then just drop dead right before everybody's eyes. Typically only about 6% of those folks are revived.
I had all of these other things happened on top of that like my ischemic stroke.
I may have missed something in that list above but I think it's fairly clear.
I won't survive if that happens in 2010. Most people don't survive if it happens in 2020. Miraculously, it happened to me in 2018 and, I lived.
I'm trying to put my house back in order but it is so extraordinarily hard.
I have my hobbies and that's what keeps me going and keeps me fit and keeps me determined and hoping that I will outlive all the odds and have a new spine one day like I will design and I believe in miracles.
I want others desperately to understand that faith is real and that it is okay to believe in miracles because they can happen and they indeed do. ask any of the doctors or first responders that were on hand that saved my life what they think.
The story is interesting and gets deeper but this is about people being able to live manageable lives so that there's less stress on them and they can be healthier more productive citizens of a healthier society that practices empathy and is forgiving through its practices also, setting fine examples, not like the examples that exist today.
do any companies offer you, and I mean large companies that could easily afford to, a year or two or three with no bills and no accruing fees as long as you have certain paperwork at least? maybe there can be a federal law that states that if somebody goes through x y and z then they should have this amount of time to regroup and not have to declare bankruptcy and never be penalized for etc etc etc
I'm far beyond that because my finances are and have been terrible for so long but I think of those that are going to go through something similar to me or whatever happens that is catastrophic and how we can help them and help ourselves to help our communities so that we can get through the process of healing easier and keep the damage isolated instead of letting it spread out in hard ripples like a pebble hitting a pond in those rings spreading out in concentric circles.
If I am where the pebble strikes and I am ill then those concentric circles will be spreading outwards through my community and they will affect more than just my family, indeed it will affect those that my family deals with, and then intern continues to cross-pollinate complication, often exponentially.
Is the best systems are flexible in a dynamic world and accommodating.
We have the technology today and we have the smarts today to be for more flexibility in this dynamic world and therefore far more accommodating, and we should be.
Talking about dilapidated houses, we should also build in the destruction cost at the beginning when the home is purchased, and that money should be set aside and federally funded accounts that are insured by the FDIC and that grow interest and therefore later in time when monies are needed to buy any municipalities or whatever type of jurisdiction a privately owned building blaze upon the property of, then these funds for destruction will always be available instead of having to encumber new fees on his suffering victims, let's say, a hundred years from now.
