Why Did You Do It ? - Poetry - October 30, 1984

Why did you do it... ?

We don't understand,
you took your own life in your own hands.

Why did you do it... ?
I wish I knew,
if I had only known
I could have helped you.

But you're gone now and I feel the shame,
I could have helped you but now I'm to blame.

Oh god I miss you...

But the hurt I can't show,

Why did you do it...

Why did you have to go?

Manic depression drives people insane,

But killing yourself proves no gain. Why did you do it...

I guess I'll never know why,
you didn't talk to us because we wouldn't try.

Now I'll know if someone needs help,
I'll be there,
and show them that friends,
really do care.

Autumn - Poetry / Lyric - October 24, 1979

Please keep in mind I wrote this when I was only 12 years old.

Start

Autumn is the time of year,

When all the leaves fall with a hidden a fear.

Fear that they will live no longer,

Wishing that they could hang and ponder.

The chain of life...

From a leaf to earth,

Little sadness little more.

The coming leaves will know someday,

That their own and sisters were once this way.

Anwar Sadat - Poetry - July 10, 1981

I wrote this  in 1981 and keep in mind I was born in 1967  so I was only 13 in the time of writing this .  That can say a lot about perspective and knowledge across the world before the Internet  and all kinds of other things such as propaganda, news, the age that news and terrible tragedy has an effect on all of us, and so many topics  I'm just such a simple snapshot of my youth from July 10th 1981.

Start

Anwar Sadat a man of courage and strength,

His life should have lived a much longer length.

For some stupid Conquest he was shot to his death,

Not to being able to take a peaceful last breath.

The last moments of Sadat's life...

Another lesson taught,

But hopefully the worst will soon be forgot.

His last thought he had we may never find out,

But he is beyond death without a doubt.

The Meaning of Life - Poetry - April 3rd, 1984

Life is hard to understand,

Most take it easy because there is no demand.

First you are born and then you die,

But is life after endless... Like the sky?

Life is a test to prepare you for dying,

For so set your goals now and starts driving.

If you work hard it pays off in the end,

to start working now and don't pretend.

Because once you reach the top,

You have passed the test and your time has stopped.

Who Am I - Poetry / Lyric - September 19, 1984

Who am I...

Just an image in a mirror?

Know it goes farther than that...

It some more clear.

A mirror is merely a first impression,

But getting to know yourself is a real aggression.

For once you know who you are,

Fantasies are gone and realities aren't far.

To look deep inside and trust yourself,

For doing this is your greatest wealth.

Fly Away - Poetry / Lyric - MobiusTripz

I saw an seagull flying high,
soaring through the air,
flying swift and gracefully,
he was without a care.

Oh, seagull how I envy your life,
of perpetual time to spare,
for in these days of a human lives,
time is very rare.

Flying downward landing soft,
in the tall cool reeds,
in the wilderness without,
you find your daily needs.

So easy is your peaceful life,
as easy as can be,
I wish I could be like you,
flap my wings, fly away, and be free.

Notes:

On the fourth line of the first stanza I crossed out the word he and put you are in the second to last line I crossed out a wish and replaced it with a long in the very last line I crossed out the first word flap and replaced it with spread and the very last three words I removed and replace only to be free. Then somebody else wrote on here swygert fortune and then they dated it like it could be August 4th of 2010 perhaps but I'll let you be the judge of that with the picture so little puzzled and I'll rewrite it the other way to be Swaggart's fortune and then see if I can decipher if it's Brent or George or Aiden or maybe Rocky or one of the women I've dated. Who has changed my work this will be interesting to see who has been delving in my drawer of treasures.

Of course that should have dawned on me immediately but took about 5 minutes for the provability of it being Stacy's  initials and work ... Lol... Back to the tale of the missing poems.

Looking at this further it could indeed be Stacy Hanson's little notations and initials and date which I greatly appreciate the thought of making my cute little quaint poem from 1987 of April 13th into a fortune.

So sweet!

Devilish Souls / Halloween - Poetry - MobiusTripz

October 22nd 1984

I wrote this along side my mother at our dining room table at the Alice + Residence Inn Alexandria Virginia. If I recall correctly this was from 6th grade and an assignment.

Start

The devilish souls are lurking around,
and on Halloween you will hear many a strange sound.

So keep your watch because the devil may come,
and snatch you up just to have some fun.

Acts of aggression you may take out on you,
and you may be dead by the time he's through.

So be careful how you behave,
because it might be your road he decides to pave.

Notes:

Now this is from a collection of poetry I wrote in my youth that I long thought lost but was later returned to me by a friend Stacey who I had forgotten she had had it since I was young, I had rewritten or published this elsewhere and I believe from memory of not mistaken so that one might be called Halloween or devilish souls and it could be slightly different than this and they may be beautifully comprised into one perhaps one day if I do find indeed the two are different so that is the state of things as I understand it on this day as I record this which is March 7th 2016.
