Hang On for Daryl ~ MobiusTripz ~ Lyrics

I recorded this again today in a different style then my original.

My friends have been going through some real tough times, and I dedicate this to my homeboy Daryl!

No reason to get more personal then that...and Daryl says hello in the pic below...

That's us sharing hope and friendship!

What a great friend and inspiration.

He inspired a re-recording because he is such a tough hang~er on~er he makes my issues in life that are quite serious look rather trivial!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There is so much in life to hang on too,
yeah, yeah, yeah,
oh, yeah, yeah.

Everything in my life today is worth hanging on for,
even if things don't seem to go my way,
I always come back strong,
no matter,
I'll be ready to play.

because I know how to hang on,
cause I am always hanging on.

I have so much to be thankful for,
so I keep hanging on,
thankful for each and everyday
that I have to spend with all my friends,
as we keep on spinning round and round again.

keep hanging on, just keep hanging on
keep hanging on,
peace my friends I love you all,
don't ever give up man,
just keep on hanging on.

A Letter from a Grieving Mother

This is from a friend of mine and it it a beautiful heartfelt letter of her grieving since the tragic loss of her daughter.

She asked that I re-post it and please and share it.

Perhaps you will read this and share with her the support you same friends have shared with me.

She is writing, as has been professionally suggested, to help her through such a tragic loss that is in all actuality something words cannot ever quite describe.

The best thing she would enjoy is to see her letter of love and loss for her daughter to be "liked" and then "shared".

I hope this is well shared and she can see the support through a couple of simple gestures as we friends connect in support.

thanks, Steve

P.S. If you are reading this on my lbog, please share this link and please leave a comment for her here as well.

Thanks again, Steve

Dear Dumbass,

I want to introduce you to my Emmy Lou! First off Emmy was born November 21, 1995 at Sacred Heart Hospital, a beautiful little baby girl from the beginning!

Her first word was Mama! She took her first steps to me! She learned to colors & to count by feeding her poppy M&M's! She loved to chase bunnies through the yard! Oh and yes she loved to cuddle!!
As Emmy grew older her love of family and friends grew also! There wasn't anything that she wouldn't do for you! Her love of God was apparent throughout short but loved life! There isn't anyone that she met that she did not leave a lasting impression on!
While she was just a little she loved helping with taking care of her brother and sister! That bond was and is so strong! It hurts that she is not here, with them!
There are so many things that I have and will miss out with my beautiful Emmy, like getting her ready for proms, dates and college! Her wedding day and the birth of her first child, my grandchild, you ask why I am writing this it is because of you Dumbass that I did not and will not get to see these wonderful moments in my daughter Emmy's life!
So now you know all the wonderful things about Emmy, I just thought maybe you should know beautiful young woman who died that day your truck slammed into her side of the car!
Forever a Mommy with a broken heart

Proposed Medical Treatment for Trauma Related Blood Loss and The New Economy Emerging

Technology Challenge ~

Proposed Medical Treatment for Trauma-Related Blood Loss

and

The New Economy Emerging

Terms:

BLSF ~ Blood Loss Stabilizer Foam,
CF ~ Compression Forms,
and
CCF ~ Cauterizing Cold Fusion

I have two ideas actually, one involves instantly freezing and area of massive blood loss and the other involves the use of hopefully organic compressed foam with a compression inflatable compression style cast, or CF's, for use in emergency trauma situations, or where ever else deemed so fit.

So first, I visualize a day when if I were an EMT and I was on the scene, I could utilize better technological advancements through the development of ideas like this that make sense.

So here I am and I, with assistance from others, now must first do our best to stabilize a patient before emergency medical transport.

I locate a cut that is losing a lot of blood from an artery. I know if I do not stop this bleeding I will very well lose my patient for certain.

I ask for a cartridge of BLSF (Blood Loss Stabilizer Foam), and I quickly prep the area (not needed in even more dire situations, is even possible) and spray the foam loosely or in a CF at the area where needed.

My idea comes from my personal use with construction foam, and my combined Police Science education about trauma scenes and securing a crime scene always first after rendering aide, as well as my specific knowledge that the most common reason for death due to trauma is always blood loss.

However not always externally.

I have known EMT's, doctors, etc. and have asked many folks about these real-life traumas and what they would wish they had at that moment that would most often help save lives.

This proposition will more closely address, in both theory and application, the use of these suggested techniques and technologies for more external or closely sub-epidermal style injuries as opposed to massive internal blood loss.

However, that is not to say that this cannot, or will not, evolve into a better science and sprout those seedlings to utilize one day as well either.

Again, this is for the trauma scene and stabilization, and once on the operating table, these conditions to treatment need to be understood from the aspect of a medical doctor and their team as well.

Such as could be the case in an instant, we have stopped bleeding, have administered replacement blood, started an I.V., and now are perhaps confronted with the questions of, how do we perhaps save a limb, or repair the damage properly as best we can.

It may be the two ideas that can be used together, but one may work better in the field and the other may work better in the facility of choice for medical procedures if that luxury is present.

I also prefer to make this known through my blog, as to document it today, although I have had each idea for many years.

I also want to further propel the pace at which something like this may become a practical life-saving reality.

I also do not have the finances to place forward or the time to play enamored legal games in the face of losing time and thus progress.

Make it and when it proves to be useful, there is plenty of time to sort out business affairs properly and favorably.

I have presented other ideas throughout the hodgepodge-mix of a blog entry here touching on a multitude of topics, all certainly sensible, simple, and now today more than ever, easily able to be made into functioning prototypes with speed, efficiency, and inexpensive physical design and construction... to prove these ideas worthy quickly, and thus, save lives.

As with any idea, research and testing and further design enhancements are the largest actual expenditures.

With our modern technology, that is not always so true today, and even if that statement still holds water, the amount of that water it holds, more specifically meaning the finances associated with the R and D is negligible compared to the same R and D that would have been done a different way a very very short time ago.

This is combining and putting to use cutting edge ideas and technology that can help save lives first and always foremost, and as a secondary benefit, become integrated into a new workforce we are building in the United States.

We have employees, but not enough jobs and jobs like these types of new products can make as we produce them at home will need to be filled.

These jobs are skill-specific jobs and will require excellent training, often utilized in the armed services, but being offered more and more today at educational facilities, both corporate and private.

The workforce of yesteryear will not fill the jobs offered in the coming future happening already now, and that is a simple fact to be accepted.

Perhaps more colloquial ways of industry and farming will return with an even better emphasis on not farming monocultures, the pitfalls of engineered genetics in seed crops that require chemical herbicides in which to thrive, as well as the seemingly overall raised awareness in nutrition from seed to mouth, and with also the seemingly rise in common knowledge.

We are making better decisions that are friendly to the republican and the democrat, and also at times perhaps scary to each as well, as it is often a new area, a new science, and the investment to propel it costly.

We can generate new products from ideas and technology that grow the economy and protect the environment and help more people prosper, not less.

That is also a fact of where we are today, but no one usually says it quite so boldly.

Here are three links all from the same site.

The first is more specific to technology, and the others are for you to explore this great web-based site.

Politics aside, and I am not trying to be political nor take any side, but rather share my own perspective and thoughts on what is and will be happening, and hope to hear back some excellent conversation or spark some others to see the great changes coming and get excited about it, but be patient as well.

Rome was not built in a night, and we all know Rome also fell, so we want to build something both fruitful to all and both strong and self-sustaining while also being able to continue to nourish for generations of many ages yet to pass.

As I am very idealist in my purest of thoughts, I would also say these advancements should be maintained to help others abroad and at home, as so spelled out by the very construct of our respected laws today, starting at home with our very own Constitution being our foundation along with it's inherent Bill of Rights.

I am pleased to see the leaps and bounds of progress being made.

I am enthusiastic about the prospect of, and this is only a huge and hopeful maybe, The University of Maryland coming to my home town for a campus.

Perhaps an engineering science and technology campus as I have partially proposed in thought, not yet on paper locally.

This a suggestion to me by a friend Dr. Efimba, P.hd. M.I.T.

He has also been a professor at Howard University for thirty-eight (38) years.

Some of my ideas are already out there in the cross-pollination of thoughts, and I know many are, as I have shared many of them here on my blogger page, when I am being serious that is, which sent always, and with friends in different respective professional fields.

(Google: Swygert HRDC)(this was the original text that was United States Department of Energy's own website.)(These algorithms have since changed too, and duckduckgo gets you close, however, it is getting lost in the exponential amount of data we have on the internet today, and its ever-faster-quickly-growing-exponentially.

http://www1.eere.energy.gov/wip/news_detail.html?news_id=16404

...above keeps changing ;(...really sad ;(

(DuckDuckGo: HRDC Swygert us department of energy)(The original us dept of energy link is no longer active) (I do have a screenshot and its webpage source code too, somewhere)

https://mountainmaryland.blogspot.com/2010/10/letter-about-hrdc-submitted-to.html

It was my thoughts expressed in that featured news article at The United States Department of Energy, written by me that made me ask Dr. Efimba one day at a MathCounts regional competition in Virginia, what he thought would be a great thing for my local community to promote healthy technological green change, growth, jobs, and even better promote our local community with better private sector growth as well, and provide a prosperous long term future for the direct local area.

He simply said an engineering campus from a highly esteemed college, and highly touted The University of Maryland, right here from my small town's home state.

Today, n 2020 we, have made some progress, however, it is a shame that we have been held back by austerity and political wrangling and now obstructionists alongside a pandemic as I add this sentence only, on April 25, 2020, as I edit this blog posting.

He has offered to help me with this proposition as well, but as of yet I have not contacted him, but plan on doing so if things move forward progressively and satisfactorily.

The University of Maryland already works with other institutions here, and that will just make any future possibility of this happening that much easier.

My friend Carl Mikeman of N.A.S.A. and many other hats with a resume simply too long to quote, even offered to give critical expertise to anything I (we, whoever that may be) propose in writing.

I am also awaiting a response from my local city in response to my request for an appointment to the Economic Development Commission here in Cumberland, Maryland.

I will further this proposal the best I can at any capacity what so ever and was very pleased to see that there are some other local politicians that seek a similar, yet less refined than mine, as so revealed thus far proposition.

I am simply hoping to combine forces when that day arrives and see if we can help our city further upward, and help our country for ages and generations to come.

That is how I see this "thing" today in politics.

Politics seems a distraction to progress at this very moment during these ridiculous election campaigns, although we are so blessed indeed to have every four years!

There is no republican solution or democrat solution per se, that addresses every aspect perfectly as they would each individually like to see.

What I propose is what I see that it is befitting and complementary to each party in philosophy (we all know actuality never goes perfectly as planned for long), and more appropriately befitting to "we the people", all of us, and its very stem roots back to what the dictates of our past to now present bring to our door of opportunity to decide on for our collective future and well being, and to move forward with coordinated efficient planning and vision.

That is truly the time we are in.

If you like it, enjoy yourself, to eaches own I believe as well, however, the majority wants to change, jobs, better education, and we are here right now and there are answers being placed forth that are sensible in every respect, lest greed. (sarcasm)

for long term health of this nation and the continuation of what we all strive for in the American dream.

The progress is going to be made with a further commitment to infrastructure like Cornell's new university!

This looks to be the creme de la creme!

Cornell University, New York

http://techcrunch.com/2011/12/19/siliconisland/

I do not want our city to grow too fast, nor do I want it to be disgraced with un-complimentary architecture or eventual urban sprawl.

I would like to see a further continued appreciation for our environmental prestige and beauty we have so well maintained and will continue to do so.

There could be no better place then here for technology and design to be better utilized and preserve the very beauty of the area where it will be designed if that seen should come to sprout.

Time will tell, but again, I just prefer to offer the hope of help and progress from a local grassroots level, upwards back to the people that deserve it, we the citizens in the end, who will and always have worked for progress and the fruition of each our own American Dream.

We are in a nightmare, so wake up and see what is staring us in the face and let's invest in the things we need to produce what we will be making.

Let's also not turn a naked I to Greed in the progress.

So back in the field...

( I do not think these thoughts living like Walter Mitty, however, I am spelling it out here for the purpose of visualization for the reader, you!, and I hope after some deeper thoughts, a few never too often laughs.)

...after following the protocol and stabilizing the patient as best possible for transport, if available, and also at least making the trip to the hospital from the field more likely to be life-saving, because time and blood have been saved as the patient may maintain enough of their own blood to sustain life, buy enough time to make it to more blood or assure that the blood on hand is sufficient until the wound can be more properly repaired, or at least manageable, and then eventually closed, after whatever other procedure may be required.

The time-saving proposal is important too of course, as that is time that can be better utilized with further on-scene treatment when needed, as well as, better communication to the hospital, also using real-time imaging perhaps straight from the field.

To change gears, the other idea I have is for a cauterizing cold fusion of compressed liquid gas (perhaps like freon, or nitrogen or hydrogen whichever is best and usable in this application but not limited to those alone, as they were merely examples)  in a very very specifically administered controlled application, as to do otherwise would cause more tissue damage.

There may be slight damage at the site, however, death from blood loss is certainly and inarguably a larger price to pay, then perhaps surviving and healing perfectly or even with the loss of a limb, but with the chance to survive, heal and share the greater values we all seek in life with friends.

I have excellent ideas for how these particular apparatus' can be designed, what protocol I would suggest following as per their inherent design, and I hope that we make these in The United States as well, however, I would rather everyone anywhere be instantly able to benefit from any technological advance like this, if it indeed becomes proven and therefore most certainly worthwhile in the combination of other treatments for trauma suffers while saving their lives.

I will keep my thoughts in words to this much for now, however, I have a lot more in my mind about the specifics of this from almost any aspect.

I can be contacted through this site straight to my email if any professional would like to discuss this further, help me through the patent process, speak business, or discuss the more subtle ideas and suggested protocol of these devices more intricately.

I also have an idea for instant encased compressed foam bodysuits in race cars, as this would be better then the jarring hits they absorb, and too often do not escape from with their lives.

I love racing and cars and mechanics too, so these thoughts are not second nature, but really first.

This is a work in progress, please forgive mistakes, and I will add to this often supporting links below all of this original text, and edits will be documented, either here (if huge) or digitally at the server.

Please share any thoughts, observations, links, etc. you may have that are applicable as I would enjoy any information supporting absolutely any views, as I am open-minded when searching for solutions...it seems to only make sense when an answer is still the sought unknown.

Timeless Thoughts ~ MobiusTripz ~ Lyrics

magical poetry,
makes the eye perceive,
words i share incessantly,
a mind we each weave.

collective spirit on retina cast,
in the mind to forever last
memories stay but come so fast,
guide our fortunes of futures from past.

if i exist in your memory,
its really you looking back at me,
perplexed perhaps or bleaque serenity,
the mirror of time and all it's scenery.

i am because you are so in mind free,
cast no shadows on my you're beloved memory,
we all root from such a common peaceful tree,
me the you looking back at me...

love will heal again, mirror reflects the free!

where is the sunshine in you're life?

bask in the healing nature of bathing light and sun...just thoughts...timeless thoughts

Down In the Hollows ~ MobiusTripz ~ Lyrics

I live down in the deep mountain hollow,
and my heart is even deeper in sorrow,
then these deep down mountain ways,
down in the hollows born, raised, and I will always stay.

An eye for and eye and a tooth for a tooth,
Hammurabi sometimes I agree with you,
some folks just keep pushing others causing such pains,
just mess with me and my folks if you want to see insane!

Chorus:

My rifle loaded and my dog is ready to run,
Mess with me and my people your last setting sun,
The attack would never cease, truth over lies that stung,
I write these words not for action but to be sung.

I prefer live and let live too,
but that only applies to some of you,
others destroying proper dreams,
I will never sit idly as it seems too many do!

Chorus:

My rifle loaded and my dog is ready to run,
Mess with me and my people your last setting sun,
The attack would never cease, truth over lies that stung,
I write these words not for action but to be sung.

Sometimes in the mountains you cannot catch a break,
and everything starts slipping down the mountain fast and far away,
landslides in life that try to rip flesh and promote moral decay,
Down here in the hollows, like many of you others, speak up with something to say!

Chorus: with fade

My rifle loaded and my dog is ready to run,
Mess with me and my people your last setting sun,
The attack would never cease, truth over lies that stung,
I write these words not for action but to be sung.

My rifle loaded and my dog is ready to run,
Mess with me and my people your last setting sun,
The attack would never cease, truth over lies that stung,
I write these words not for action but to be sung.

Cumberland, Maryland

I have met many walks of life upon my own walk of life.

Passion and Faith and Truth have never discriminated and never will.

All walks of life, some chosen, perhaps some not chosen, can harbor and promote the attributes as set forth above, and all can be prosperous, but we are a far cry from there today.

I love where I live, but that does not mean by any means that it is easy.

But, it sure is beautiful and diverse.

The lyrics are simply one perspective, however it's a perspective I often observe in others and one I do not fully subscribe to or promote so much nor do I disagree with sometimes either.

That's the range of diversity, and it truly exists in everything around us.

My plan is setting these lyrics to music, and thus more properly framing a context to them in order for the listener to go on a visual journey of there own while listening.

Samsung Galaxy S3 or SIII Cellular Phone and 4G LTE Network U.S. Cellular

This looks pretty sweet...and I am no phone shopper...but I figure as useful as this one android I have is and how it saves me time and even makes my life more productive, well what am I missing on the newer ones, and I think mine now could be useful for a while like some laptops that just do what's needed.

I could walk away from technology in a second and go to the woods to stay and be content, however, my phone has been an essential part of learning more deeply and more quickly than has been more of a tool like many tools I have used to repair cars, or perform plumbing, yes I perform it, and it is quite a comedy... and it also enhances my artistic output as well as stimulates my artistic thinking quite a lot.

Until they get a signal out in the woods, I am staying in the city with my Android....lol

Here is the real scoop...

Update: 02-20-2013

What I can say about the Samsung Galaxy S3 on your 4G LTE network and operating on the Android Platform designed by Google is this...technology for efficiency is something I always tout, and you have helped me to be both more efficient and more productive so that I have even more time for thought about new projects and artwork I inspire to create.

The voice recognition is explosive, the camera state of the art, the LCD exquisite, its durability something to be admired, it technology something to behold, etc...and time will change this and evolve until it is even better. I also believe your network is as good as it is because I have stress tested it and it delivers above and beyond what my local hard wired cable company can offer as far as streaming quality with net video, film, music, etc., and I have more easily tethered my equipment wirelessly with less outdated technology to depend upon as well.

I have so far canceled the cable account and see the future for all entertainment needs through your exquisite products, networks, and professional service. I am pleased to be able to utilize such under-appreciated technology right now in my hands today at such incredibly affordable pricing.

Thanks...you have helped both enhance my life and lessen my monthly expenditures. US Cellular can upgrade your life, it has mine.

If you want to make a wise business decision for yourself today, consider this phone and data package on a proven network, such as U.S. Cellular, and purchase the data package which offers unlimited monthly data, and make sure that means that you are truly unlimited.

Secondarily, consider your other technologies present and for imminent future purchases, such as an LCD SMART TV, for example, so that you have full and simple compatibility with a minimum of extra peripheral purchases required.

Properly planning your home's and work's needed technology and understanding how they can and are now designed to work together for maximum production and efficiency for the workload or simply pleasure can maximize time and offer a few dollars back into the budget at the same time.

Waiting today to make a purchase of a smartphone and not fully utilizing it is certainly a waste of time for any business-minded person who values their time and money.

I will continue to update this with more information, but I really do not have one bad thing to say about US Cellular or the Samsung Galaxy S3...a perfect marriage of technology for efficiency!

Is Cancer Creeping Back ~ Bad Dreams? ~ The Verge of Lung Cancer ~ MobiusTripz Lyrics ~ Cancer Kills

I want to sleep real bad, however after last nights dreams of such vivid declarations from my doctors of lymphatic cancer and lung cancer...wake has me for now and ever more, mesmerized...

...and my so long ignored requests to see an endoctrinologist in reality by my medical professionals, oh well, who cares in the end...I am but a deficit!

...and why do I continue accept this treatment?...because it is the best there is...so scoff, as so do I.

...which I have not and so documented...and therefore,...I document my dying days..., where I know within, that science and medicine stares at a humble broken man and scoffs...yet again in my sullen face.

I am always so acceptable of excusing such pathetic medical care today...and finding this the new "norm" , that leaves me as an after thought as I think and most wish....I would die when there is not a dollar sign left in my very eye of life and soul...as I feel this way perceived.

... however to no avail..., no wonder I am wide awake happy with the breath of life at this moment while my dreams seem to close in on my reality...

...which may be the dreams as my eyes have always and finally perceived...

...as my chest hurts, my lymph nodes ache and I still puff away ignorantly.

I know what I need to do, question is.. can I do it?

...smoking may be enjoyable but death and slavery to a chemical...sux!

puff, gag, cough...and never shall I sing again.

Early Symptoms of Lung Cancer

Know the Early Symptoms of Lung Cancer

By , About.com Guide
Updated February 17, 2012
About.com Health's Disease and Condition content is reviewed by the Medical Review Board
What are the early symptoms of lung cancer? We know that the survival rate from lung cancer is better the earlier it is caught. The 60% to 80% 5-year survival rate with stage 1 lung cancer drops to a saddening 10% with stage 4 disease, yet nearly half of people have progressed to this advanced stage at the time of diagnosis. What are the early symptoms of lung cancer that you should be on the lookout for?
Keep in mind that understanding the early symptoms of lung cancer is important for non-smokers as well as smokers. At present, 50% of people who develop lung cancer are former smokers, and 15% have never smoked.

A Cough That Doesn’t Go Away

Many people dismiss or adapt to a chronic cough, attributing it to something else. Perhaps it is allergies, a “leftover” cough following a cold, or dry air during the winter months. But a cough that lasts more than a few weeks can be a sign of something else. A chronic cough as an early symptom of lung cancer is even easier to miss if you have a condition that predisposes you to coughing, such as asthmaCOPDallergies, or gastroesophageal refluxCoughing up blood(hemoptysis) is a common symptom of lung cancer, but can be fairly subtle and you may notice only a small amount of blood tinged phlegm when you cough. If you experience a persistent cough, check with your doctor, and ask for a second opinion if you don’t get a clear answer.

Shortness of Breath With Activity

Another common early symptom of lung cancer is shortness of breath that you only notice with activity. This can be overlooked and blamed on getting older, being out-of-shape, or perhaps due to those few extra pounds you've gained. If you notice that you are hesitant to take that hike, become winded with sexual activity, or blame the humidity for making it more difficult to breathe, make an appointment to talk to your doctor.

Pain or Aching in Your Shoulder, Back, Chest, or Arm

Lung cancers may press on nerves, resulting in pain in your shoulder, chest, back, or an arm -- even before they cause a cough or difficulty breathing. If you notice pain in one of these areas of the body that doesn’t seem to be related to an injury (or even if it is but persists), consult your physician. Up to 50% of people with lung cancer have some chest or shoulder pain at the time of diagnosis, especially pain that increases with coughing and breathing.

Repeated Infections Such as Bronchitis and Pneumonia

It’s not uncommon for someone to discover that they have lung cancer after being treated for repeated episodes of bronchitis or pneumonia. If a tumor is located near an airway, it can cause an obstruction that predisposes you to these infections. If you have had a few episodes of bronchitis or pneumonia, talk to your doctor. Repeated infections could be due to persistent smoking or a condition such as COPD, but they could also be an early symptom of lung cancer.

Any Abnormal Symptoms or a General Decline in Health

If you note any symptoms which are unusual for you, it is important to check with you doctor, especially if you have a history of smoking. Seemingly unrelated symptoms, such as knee pain, may be an early symptom of lung cancer. General symptoms, such as fatigue, decreased appetite, or even depression should prompt you to seek a physicians guidance, too.
With lung cancer now the leading cause of cancer deaths for both men and women in the United States, it is important to be aware of any early symptoms. That said, 25% of people have no symptoms at the time of diagnosis, and lung cancer is discovered incidentally when a chest x-ray or CT scan is done for an unrelated reason. CT screening for lung cancer is being evaluated, but it raises other issues that need to be considered. Hopefully, a test will be developed in the near future that will allow us to screen for lung cancer as we are now able to screen for some other cancers.

yeah...I think I am am so there...smoking tobacco sux!...do you get it?
