pretty upset the dea just took my flourishing weed,
hard to make or smoke a dime today indeed,
and we keep trying to tell them we are good men, work hard and want to make a buck,

She'll Sea Sands of Time Trickling Past,

Our Love Turned to Stone Shall Now and Forever Always Last,

...and Shall As Always Return Together Again Once More.

...a true love poem and picture from a forlorn love now forever lost, oh such deep and anguishing ache, please just I offer it away, and stay thankful for time so well we shared my love.

The thought of a fossil on our old trail gave me deep thought of times shared there, passing of love and life, the metamorphisis of turning to stone and then dust, and doing it all over again in due time.

So until that day we meet again in the cosmic universe my Cancer, for now your Capricorn holds for you only thoughts and memories, from a place in time where once there was a warm and beautiful flame of love so shared, and now not even an ember shall ever in this life be alight again.

...but in another time, I shall see you once and forever more, that was the love I once had for you to share, which you chose to just frivolously give away, in the throes of another's passion play, and so now our love from past is set in forever stone.

O'er Yonder Hill ~ Poem ~ MobiusTripz

O'er yonder hill where once was just green,
now exist debacles once man could only dream,
disasters we built all better off if ne'er seen,
the mariner's albatross dead will never again preen.

To depart from nature man too often chooses,
gnashing, and slashing, fighting and gashing blood oozes,
in selfish dreams Earth destructs and man still snoozes,
like the destructive drunk just marking time only boozes.

Once upon a time for us all a chance for bright futures given,
away from nature, balance and life from our souls we have driven,
flocking together aimlessly, homeless as lost scavenger pigeons,
society and citizens alike left rotting mere smidgens.

O'er yonder hill and horizon a new sun shall rise,
in death is the promise of lessons from foolish lost lives,
like the bees that are disappearing that die in sad poisonous hives,
to ourselves we lie, pay the price, doing wrong we together have contrived.

If you have seen the recent news coverage then you know that during these dire times while the Federal Government is on "shut-down", there is a one man crew and a few volunteers that have helped him keep the trash and debris away from the memorials of our nation's capitol.

Chris Cox is that one man crew, and believe it or not he even worked on Capitol Hill for a while more recently, before following his hearts passion for art.

He is no stranger to politics and he is no stranger to picking up the slack either.

Chris has now been featured on Fox News, The BBC, and through countless other shows and press, but what he is indeed is just a heck of a guy and a friend of mine for over 30+ years, and he is one hell of an artist.

Below are some pictures from the summer of 2013, and this is just a small example of his extraordinary talent. I took these when I visited him in Berryville, Virginia while he was hard at work, as always, on some new pieces.

I, as many mutual friends, am proud to have Chris as a friend and even more thankful that he is working hard to make a difference while setting an example I hope will be followed for generations to come.

May God Bless Chris as well as the veterans and other citizens he has worked hard for to keep our national memorials clean, and keep in mind the Veteran's march is planned for this weekend, October 13th, 2013.

Leading by example, Chris Cox has stepped up and shown us how to make a difference and "Fill the Void", and we can all do this at home and abroad, as dutiful citizens just like Chris.

Chris, I am sure I am not alone when I say, " Our hats are off to you sir!"

You have inspired a nation, and I hope many others will see another side to you and share this beautiful art work pictured below that you have crafted. This art is a beautiful window into a soul that is obviously burning with passion.

...and by the way, you have my vote when you are ready to run for office, and I am certain countless others.

Your work for Veterans in particular is personally touching to me. My very own Father is from South Carolina, is a Retired Colonel, and is a veteran of both Korea and Viet-Nam. When an authority figure speaks up and states that the veterans should just step over or around the trash...well, I naturally think of my Father at 83 with a replaced hip, and the words uttered just disgust me. I, like you, know he and countless others have done their fair share and all simply deserve better then this, and I as your friend, admire and respect your gracious gesture.

Thanks for looking out for my great Father and others like him. You are a very fine example of the "American Spirit" and the "Can Do" attitude backed by a work ethic...and we all need the lift and inspiration you have so offered as a beacon during dim times.

Memorial Militia ~ Chris Cox ~ Poem

To my friend Chris Cox...

There is a Memorial Militia,
and it is a one man show,
Chris Cox is a man of action,
working hard and always on the go.

He is a modern hero and American Patriot,
who hears his duty as it beckons and calls,
he sets a steadfast example with action,
as collectively we suffer the slings and arrows of shortfall.

A push mower, and trash bags, and a bicycle,
a chainsaw slung on his shoulder like a guitar,
a flag of South Carolina flying with honor,
with its moon and palm carried by he, the star.

He single-handedly "Fills the Void" created,
by a federal government now shut down,
he inspires all of the nation's masses,
now seen on television in every large and small town.

He devotedly respects our beloved veterans,
and this country they have served so well,
yet the authorities ask him to stop his work,
while this countries politics are going to hell.

He makes no political statements,
rather taking action working while he leads,
300,000,000 citizens strong now all watching,
while the rest of the world now all heeds.

Inspiration at a dire time so well needed,
and a great story to be heard forever by all,

My Comment to WCBC on Bath Salts ~ 08-15-2012

The Cumberland Times News reports that eight bath salts incidents in the city since June and an average of one case per day being treated at the emergency department of the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center has caused alarm for officials throughout the community. Like synthetic marijuana known commonly as “spice” or “k2” these products are commonly sold over the counter locally as those producing the drugs are staying one step ahead of the law by constantly altering the chemicals. While the effects can prove devastating- Cumberland Police Chief Charles Hinnant says unfortunately until more concrete, wider ranging laws are on the books- there is little that can be done by law enforcement…

I just read this this morning and found it quite useful and informative.

The others I will share are one, a petition I made to sign for ongoing legislation and support, and two, a facebook group I started to help use our collective voice to rid these substances in our comunitty.
Please I urge you to each sign the petition and secondly join th efacebook group and ask all of your friends, or invite them, to join as well.

The facebook group is founded locally however, I would like to see citizens from all over The United States join the group so we can collectively have a forum in which to discuss strategies and ways to properly organize and help outlaw these drugs as well as, in the mean time before new legislation, discuss strategies to boycott and legally pressure local businesses to stop selling this garbage to our citizens.

Anyone who joins and "likes" the page can help identify all the local businesses that are selling either the Bath Salts or Legal Weed and then we can address those bussiness establishments perhaps through liscening, boycotts, civil suits, etc.

The idea is to gather a consensus of the comunitty to brainstorm and discuss ideas that will effectively and legally stop the sale of these chemical compounds as well as educate the local comunitty about the inherent dangers, sypmtoms of use/abuse, and treatment.

I am glad to see you covering topics with weight here on WCBC...thanks for helping to keep our community informed.

Here is a link article at my blog that has unfortunately been read more often in a month, then what I had published at The United States Department of Energy nearly two years ago. (you may have to copy and paste it into your browser)

I hope you will share this so that others may be made aware of the exact confounding issue these chemicals cause be it in legislative measures that are difficult to pass and then enforce due to the chemistry itself of these compounds, as well as the dire circumstances and ultimately death these new designer drugs can be attributed to.

Ultimately it is education, awareness, and voicing our dis-pleasures with these compounds in our communities that are tearing families apart and adding fuel to the criminal issues right here at home, much less across our great nation.

I suggest also learning the tell-tale signs of use, especially if your a parent, and seeking treatment for the abuser involved.

The article is updated with new links often so anyone can research the issue for themselves and draw their own conclusions.
